Michalis Manolakos, known as Manolaco, had his first contact with music at the age of nine. He studied theory and harmony of music for seven years. He started playing in 1999 in some of the biggest clubs and venues in Athens, experiencing with groovy house sounds and influences from hip hop, soul, funk and jazz.
He became resident DJ of Blend Athens and Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos) where he had the chance to open the scene for some of the biggest artists, such as Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Nina Kraviz, Maceo Plex, Adam Beyer and many more.
